LUFWANYAMA RECEIVES MORE THAN 1,480 LITRES OF ARMY WORM CHEMICALS -Justina
Lufwanyama District Agricultural Officer Lubungo Chewe has revealed that the district has received more than 1,489 litres of chemicals to combat the spread of army worms in the district. In an interview, Mr. Chewe said of the figure, more 1,100 Litres has already been distributed to farmers in the district. Mr. Chewe added that more 380 litres will be sprayed in the affected farms through a joint operation by the district Agricultural Office and the army officers. He has since called on farmers affected by the army worms whose crops cannot yield to report to the Agricultural Office so that seeds can be given to them to replant in their various fields.
